Mirabelle is the illegitimate child of a Magnimarian noble who arranged for her to be raised in Sandpoint by Titus Scarnetti. An astounding beauty, Mira has had to fend off the frequent advances of Lord Scarnetti while not alienating him to the point that he threw her out. Old enough to strike out on her own, Mirabelle is partially ready to cut her ties with him, but does feel a sense of duty for all the years that he supported her and provided for her. Mira knows that many in town snicker about her living with the old man and she endured frequent shaming as her entitled living, yet lack of a family name, signals to the community her illegitimate birth. Besides Lord Scarnetti, there are several other men in Sandpoint who have tried to seduce or take advantage of her. Lady Scarnetti, in particular, is resentful of Mirabelle's presence and the effect she has on her husband. Mirabelle has learned to protect herself but is familiar with only the most rudimentary weapons. More often, simply uses evasion to avoid finding herself in an compromising situation.
For the last two years, she has spent time in Galduria attending a school for the arcane arts. In part this was at behest of Lady Scarnetti, who felt the arcane college was a good way to distance Mirabelle from her husband. It was here that she became a fledgling sorceress. She has proven to be a decent but not outstanding student. The college is geared more toward wizards and Mirabelle was more interested in the social opportunities. She is determined to gather the wealth and power that will enable her to secure a proper position amongst the nobility. She has returned home to Sandpoint at the request of Lord Scarnetti.
Lately she has devoted considerable energy to establishing the Artists' Collective, as a way to encourage beauty and good in the world.

Mylaela and her twin brother, Laesin, were born into a world that often judged them by their fiendish heritage rather than their individual merits. Raised in the bustling port city of Nybor, they faced discrimination and distrust from many of the city's inhabitants. Despite this, their parents, who were both tieflings themselves, instilled in them a strong sense of self-worth and the importance of standing up for what is right.
From a young age, Laz displayed a natural inclination towards discipline and order. He was drawn to the teachings of the monks who resided in a nearby monastery, and eagerly began his training under their guidance. Mylaela, on the other hand, found the structured lifestyle of the monastery stifling. She struggled to conform to the rigid laws and traditions of the monk order, feeling constrained by their strict code of conduct.
However, Mylaela's natural talent for combat could not be denied. She trained alongside her brother, absorbing the martial techniques taught by the monks, but she yearned for a more flexible and individualistic approach to combat. Eventually, she made the difficult decision to leave the monastery and forge her own path as a brawler, drawing upon her martial training to develop her own unique fighting style.
As they journeyed together, their differences in temperament often led to disagreements. Laz, driven by his lawful nature and unwavering sense of justice, frequently clashed with Mylaela's more chaotic and impulsive tendencies. Despite their disagreements, however, they remained fiercely loyal to each other and shared a common goal of making the world a better place.
Their journey eventually led them to Sandpoint, where they found themselves escorting a merchant caravan through the town. As they navigated the bustling streets, they encountered a variety of challenges and opportunities to put their skills to the test. Along the way, they would face dangers, forge new alliances, and perhaps even come to understand each other better as siblings and as individuals with their own unique paths to follow.

Corrath el-Karam was born the 5th child to a poor family in the newly formed Kingdom of Kwanlai on the Eastern shores of Tian Xia. Lacking resources to raise a large family, Corrath was sold into bonded servitude to a ship's surgeon as soon as he was old enough.
His early years on the Jamuna were a trial for Corrath. He showed little aptitude for the healing arts, which caused friction between him and his mentor Skrieth, but eventually he did shine in his ability to mix tinctures and unguents. This set the foundation for his skills at alchemy and earned him his place on the Jamuna. In time the captain of the Jamuna gained enough money to buy charts for oceans to the far West and set out to establish trade routes between the nations of the Obari Ocean. Seaking fame and wealth he spent years plying the sea lanes farther and farther West.
Eventually disaster struck the Jamuna. While sailing in the Northern reaches of the Obari ocean she came under attack and was captured by slavers sailing out of the Shackles. Much of her crew were captured, including Corrath. He was clever, adept at language, and had a valuable skill so he was sold quickly and spent a time being traded from one owner to another. Eventually Corrath found himself in the service of a Chelaxian merchant who used him as a translator and bookkeeper. This new owner's travels took him frequently to the Varsian port of Magnimar. On one such trip Corrath seized an opportunity to flee his captivity and finally gained his freedom. He fled East to Sandpoint where he felt safe enough to settle down. Sandpoint, being a town with many mysteries, appealed to Corrath and he set out to start a career as an Investigator to earn both fame and fortune in this new land.
Every path has a tale to tell
Alaysha Moonbryn hails from the small village of Crying Leaf on the border of the Mierani Forest. Not naturally as gifted as most of her brethren with the use of the bow, she turned to her acute mind to make up the difference and then some. By the time she left Crying Leaf, she had already mastered 5 languages, and, following her goddess Desna’s teachings, she embarked on exploring new places.
Initially finding her way to Riddleport, she hired her bow to a trading vessel headed to sea, giving her both an opportunity to practice bowmanship, study the stars, and explore the world. Her next extended stay would be in Korvosa, where she hired onto trading ships and caravans for some years. It is also here she came into the circle of Belisarius, a dhampir renowned for his many interests and knowledge. He came to her aid in thwarting a kidnapping attempt by the Dusters, a local gang of thugs, whose numbers in close quarters put her at a serious disadvantage. Grateful and impressed, they would develop a mentor / pupil relationship for some dozen years, learning much of non-elven society and interests. It was during this time she would pick up two more languages as well as master several more knowledges.
Eventually, feeling a time for a change was upon her, Alaysha’s wanderlust took her to a new home base of Magimar, where she settled for a few years, again hiring on with ships and caravans. The caravan routes in turn led her to Sand Point, where she currently has stopped over.
Panicking gets you nowhere
Unlike most people, Mark remembered the day he came into being. The cotton clothes he wore and the sturdy chair he sat in spoke of someone who valued quality. The room was recently cleaned with only a handful of trinkets proudly displayed on wooden shelves that lined the walls. The sun spotlit a hardwood work bench and tools recently oiled. And the book that sat on his lap felt heavier than should have been possible.
That day 20 years ago, and the following handful of weeks, would later turn out to be full of revelations that sprung from the book. The diary of his previous life. He was an Android. A synthetic being that was essentially Human. Olive colored skin, pumping organs, and short brown hair. He felt the instinct to insist he WAS Human. Well, if you ignored the silver metallic tattoos and synthetic blue blood, he was Human.
The book was made for him. Made by “Velin” as his previous life called himself. To educate and guide Mark in a way Velin never got to have. Bank of Abadar accounts and codes. Crafting tips so he could sustain himself when needed. Guides on how to appear human in manner. Velin’s belief in Brigh, however, left the most impact on Mark. Feeling a deep connection with the Iron Goddess, Mark found himself strengthened and empowered in a way he suspected Velin would find familiar.
It also gave him permission to sell anything he currently owned. Velin did not want Mark to feel tied down by a life that was not his own. At first, Mark pretended to be Velin for the sake of security. When he felt more confident in himself years later, he donated most of what he had inherited and wandered West. Occasionally stopping and aiding smaller communities with engineering problems. Mending equipment and creating toys for those he met. Finding comfort in larger cities and briefly stopping his journey to record his own diary that he would leave for whoever occupied his body next.
Now, his journey has brought him to Sandpoint. A perfect place to rest while he works on his book.
